FIXING PLASTIC TUB OF FRONT LOAD WASHING MACHINE

Hey Junkers,

Ever wanted to fix a washing machine plastic tub on your own ? Fixing a washing machine tub can demand a lot of hardwork and you will hae to get your hands dirty. In my washing machine's scenario, three bolts are supposed to withstand the counter weight attached to the tub. In our case one bolt was missing and started domino damage. Eventually the washing machine had reached a non-functional state. The plastic tub had broken. To fix the plastic piece we used following glues (you can try others) :
  • Araldite (resin and epoxy glue from Pidilite)
  • m-seal (resin and epoxy glue from Pidilite)
The plastic piece was adhered to the tub using Araldite. But Araldite has ageing issue. As it ages it looses strength when subjected to water. To overcome this problem we used m-seal on top of it. For both the glues to adhere firmly, we made holes in the tub.  The glue perforates in the holes to firm bonding. We fixed the issue but now we burnt the controller board by interchanging the +ve and -ve terminals of power supply. The ULN2803 relay driver free wheeling diode burnt while we were trying to manually control motor. It's getting vicious ! Hope we fix the board else replace it with Aurdino.
